Harvesting closure announcement

From 25 May 2026, we will commence harvesting operations in parts of Mary’s Creek State Forest. Operations are expected to continue for approximately six weeks, subject to weather and operational conditions. 

For public safety, Marys Creek State Forest will be temporarily closed to recreational users and visitors while harvesting operations are underway. Signage and barriers will be in place to identify restricted areas. 

We ask all forest users, including recreational visitors, hikers, cyclists, and neighboring communities, to observe all closures and avoid affected areas during this time. 

We appreciate the community’s understanding and cooperation while these important operations are undertaken. We encourage all users to remain cautious and mindful of changed conditions in and around the forest.

The safety of all road users is important to us, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
